Livepush Developer Portal

Welcome to the Livepush Developer Portal.
This documentation helps you integrate Livepush into your applications and build reliable live streaming workflows using our APIs.

Livepush provides a programmable layer on top of live video infrastructure—allowing you to manage streams, destinations, playback, and automation with full control.

What you can build

With the Livepush API, you can:

  • Create and manage live streams programmatically
  • Push streams to platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and custom RTMP endpoints
  • Retrieve playback URLs for live and recorded content
  • Automate live workflows and stream lifecycle events
  • Integrate Livepush into dashboards, CMS, or custom video platforms

Getting started

If you are new to Livepush APIs, we recommend the following flow:

  1. Review the API Reference to understand available endpoints
  2. Generate or obtain your API credentials from your dashboard
  3. Start with basic stream creation and playback APIs
  4. Expand into automation and advanced workflows as needed

All API endpoints are documented with request/response examples in the API Reference section.

Authentication

Livepush APIs are authenticated using API keys or access tokens.
Each request must include valid credentials to be authorized.

Detailed authentication requirements, headers, and examples are documented alongside each endpoint.

API Reference

The complete and authoritative API specification is available in the API Reference section.

There you’ll find:

  • Endpoint definitions
  • Required parameters
  • Example requests and responses
  • Error formats and status codes

Versioning & compatibility

The Livepush API is versioned.
Breaking changes are introduced only in new API versions to ensure stability for existing integrations.

The current API version is documented in the API Reference.
